Shiatsu 指圧 means finger pressure and originated in Japan from traditional Chinese medicine.
As a synthesis of Eastern and Western medical concepts, Shiatsu uses our most ancient medical tools — the human hand and the human heart — to treat the patient using a holistic approach that stimulates the body’s own natural self-healing powers to correct imbalances and effect a cure from within.
In her practice Bettina uses touch, comfortable pressure and soft stretching to adjust the body’s physical structure and balance its energy flow.
It can be a deeply relaxing experience and supports the body’s natural ability to balance itself and also takes into account the psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of being.
Shiatsu therapy is based on a spirit of kindness and compassion.Book here
Bettina is a Shiatsu practitioner and visual artist. She is endlessly fascinated by people and by the unlimited potential each individual has access to. In her work, she draw on this real sense of curiosity and devotion, whether through drawing or in silent dialogue, to find a deep resonance with the person she has in front of her. In 2014, this led her to Shiatsu. Since 2015, she has been practicing Shiatsu and studying at the European Shiatsu Institute in Berlin (GSD recognized).
She finds it a delightful practice to introduce Shiatsu to anyone who is interested and curious!
